Knowledge Management Institute  was established as an educational and research organization in January 2008 with a focus on developing knowledge management in the banking system  and insurance.  The institute puts together  capabilities and professional competence of some the universities and higher education institutes of Germany, UK, Malaysia and the Knowledge Management Institute itself in the form of a consortium aimed at taking steps to provide services to banks, insurance and financial and credit institutions.

Knowledge Management Institute   has mainly focused its activities on the following issues with the aim of building capacity, accreditation and evaluation of resources, knowledge management related processes and technologies in banks, insurance companies and financial and credit institutions.
